A few days ago i heard a Muslim standup comic on NPR. It occurred to me: The phrase “funny Jew” is a redundancy; “funny Muslim,” an oxymoron.

    What’s the difference between a Yiddisher and a Britisher?

    wait for it….

    The Britisher leaves without saying goodbye.
    The Yiddisher says goodbye without leaving.
